  • Mixed batteries

Our current 36V cart has 3 old batteries and 3 new ones. Will this create a problem?

Yes, it will. Decreased run-time and overall performance. It will also reduce the life of the new batteries significantly.

I agree with Matti, the new batteries will overcharge while trying to bring the old batteries up to a charged state eventually ruining the new ones.

You should strive for a balance in the batteries. If the three old ones have dates and can be tested, then find three used batteries that have same charcteristics. Hence, 6 old batteries about the same condition. Otherwise take the three old ones out and get three more new ones. Mixing does not work.

Is it possible to restore batteries with new acid and charging individually?
