| so, i just installed a 6" lift kit from all sports manufacturing on my 1997 club car ds. took 4 months to get BTW. couldnt use the new shocks i bought with the kit. another story. question i have is: the brakes lock up if i breathe on them. they are fine in reverse. is there an extension kit or new cables or adjustments that can be done? |

Consider adjusting the brake cables. The increased height from the lift kit might create a different angle for the cables, causing them to apply too much tension. Loosening the cables slightly might alleviate the issue.
If adjustments to the cables don't resolve the problem, you might need extended brake cables. These are longer cables specifically designed for lifted carts, compensating for the increased height and preventing the brakes from locking up.
