  • No vaccum to fuel pump on Yamaha

Why am I not getting any vaccum to the fuel pump. I put an electric fuel pump on it and it ran (not good) But is there an easy fix for the vaccum problem?

I looked all weekend and cannot find the SS# for this cart. I took these pictures, any Idea where the SS would be if it is still there at all?

I printed the location page and will try finding the SS # again tonight, also will take off the hose and check for pulse straight off the block. Will post findings tomorrow. Thank you both.

I found the SS# it is J24-000794 (1983) it was on the rear bumper on the drivers side. I did try blowing air through the line and it came out the carburetor. Did not have time to take the line off the crankcase but after blowing it out I still do not feel a pulse.

I put the fuel pump back on it and am now getting gas to the carb. The cart will now start but it takes quite a lot of cranking. Once it starts you can run it fine, just getting it started is a chore.
