  • Old Cart with Bad Controller

So I have this really old (like 40 years) golf cart sitting around with a burnt out controller box and probably shot solenoids. The controller was a General Electric EV-10. I would really like to remove all the solenoids and just install an new, stepless controller from scratch. But I I have no idea where to start and I don't know much about motor controllers. Attached is a picture of the motor label. What equipment would I need to control it steplessly? I'm not sure of the brand of the golf cart.

    Hello SwapLink,

Welcome to Golf Carts Forum. Check out this thread about upgrading Club Cars (the basic concept is the same) http://www.golfcartsforum.com/forum/...ts-to-48-volts

Start with deciding which brand controller you are going to go with, and throw away all those dang solenoids!
