  • EZ GO electric loses power quickly

I have an EZ GO electric medalist with brand new batteries. I checked each battery and have 6V on each(36V system). Volt meter reads 35.8-36V when I start riding. Within 100 feet or a few minutes, power decreases to nothing and cart just shudders. If it sits for 20 minutes or so, it will travel 50 more feet and die again. Volt meter will reed 34.5 Volts. Until now, the cart has run like a top, even with a load on it. Any ideas on why?

Batteries are no good. 34.5 volts is not good pack voltage on a 36 volt cart.
