Bigger tires inflated to just about the high limit. Larger tires cover more distance per revolution= faster.
More pressure in the tires the cart will ride hard, but with less friction.

if you defeat the govenor i always advice people to in stall a tach and keep the rpm's under 3800IF WE CAN'T HELP OTHERS THEN WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE WE

Your reply is right on, thanks. I did't have a tack, so I set the _______ to an approx. length allowing the spring to do it's thing and then calibrated the speed with our car beside the cart; when 22mph was achived I stopped there. This is a very safe speed for both the cart and engine govenor.
The last thing anyone should do it defeat the govenor spring completely. Also, remember golf cart are not designed for speed and will roll over very easily. Have fun, but be safe.
