1989 club car ds coils getting hot when off

I have a 1989 club car ds electric cart. Was working fine until a week ago. Now when it is off the batteries are getting drained to nothing. No accessories are hooked up just batteries and charger. The coils behind batteries are getting super hot unless I disconnect batteries. Any help to point

When the cart is off, the batteries shouldn't be draining to zero, and the coils heating up could be a symptom of a short circuit or something drawing power when it shouldn't be. Have you recently made any changes to the cart's electrical system or installed new components? Sometimes, even a small wiring issue or a failing component can cause this kind of problem. Checking the wiring for any signs of damage or loose connections might help identify the issue.
