turns over but mortor wont start

yesterdy I jumped on the cart turned on the key , pressed the gass and only thing that would happen is the electric motor would spin over but engine would not start
I thinks its a 2011 maybe 2010 ezgo sport 11 kawasaki engine. . im going to change the plug and fuel filter ( does it have one or 2 plugs) , has about quarter tank
any help appreaciated
