I sort of inherited this 1986 Club Car DS 36V cart a few months ago. It's my first one. It didn't have batteries but I started with two new tires and tubes in the remaining ones. Seats were next and then new batteries last month. I had the local dealer install them and check to see if it ran. It did! They said everything was ok including the Lester timer charger. Cool! I think upgraded battery and power cables should be next, see how it performs and go from there.

    Nice cart for an 86.
These are resistor carts. I wouldn't expect this to be a rocket ship but they are a pretty reliable cart.

Thank you. Yup, not looking to make it a rocket ship but need it to climb some steep hills with a lift and rear seat eventually. Trying to get some input about upgrades in other areas of the forum.

A set of 4ga cables would go a long way to delivering all the current you require for torque.
You may want to make these yourself with welding cable.
