  • Is my electric EZGO PDS or DCS or Nothing?

Is my electric EZGO PDS or DCS or Nothing?

PDS and DCS came out on EZGO golf carts made after 1994.5 (post EZGO Marathon). The first way you can tell if your EZGO is a PDS or DCS is if you have a run/tow switch under the seat.

If the EZGO has a run/tow switch and the forward/reverse switch on the dash it is a PDS.

If the EZGO has a run/tow switch and the forward/reverse switch as a handle below the seat it is a DCS (Drive Control System).

If the EZGO does not have a run/tow switch it is not a PDS or...

  • Do electric golf cart batteries have a memory?

Do electric golf cart batteries have a memory?

No. All electric golf carts currently use Lead Acid rechargeable batteries and could be 6, 8 or 12 volts. This type of battery DOES NOT have a memory like for example NiCd batteries (in your cellphone).

Your golf cart batteries are at peak performance from day 1. The best way to keep peak performance is to keep them fully charged all the time and maintain them (see our battery maintenance article). Keep them fully charged when at rest or in storage. If the golf cart is in storage, recharge...

  • Where can I buy a golf cart?

    Posted by Michael Eddie
Okay, you've decided on the perfect type of golf cart you want, but you have only one problem... Where do I buy this golf cart?!

    Buying New:
Click here to view a list of new golf cart dealer locators.

    Buying Used:
Check out the GCF Classifieds. Another great place you can check out online is eBay.com. And finally... Don't forget your local dealer probably has a selection of pre-owned golf carts as well.

The term 'regen' is short for regenerative. It feels like a break is being applied as you travel down a hill, but what is really happening is your golf cart is using the speed increase you get when going down a hill to charge up the batteries.

Determining if your golf cart has the regen system.
The first thing to check for is that your golf cart uses a small electronic switch to shift into forward and reverse. If you see this you have determined that it is a regen Club Car....
